Description:

Seeds (10 pieces per pack).

Wild Black Cherry (Prunus serotina). A large slender deciduous tree up to 20 m tall. The crown is spreading and broad. Trunk diameter in girth can reach 5 m. Grows quickly and tolerates pruning well. It blooms with white flowers in late spring followed by small, edible, very sweet and fragrant fruits which turn black when ripe in late summer. The fruit is used in the production of liqueurs and brandy. In summer, the bright green foliage turns yellow-red in the fall. "Late" is called because it blooms 2 weeks later than the usual bird cherry - in early June.

Sown by seed, Late Bird cherry is sown in August-September or in spring after 6-8 months of stratification. To do this, mix the seeds with clean, damp sand, pour them into a dish and put in a cool place. When the seeds begin to bud, the container is dipped into the snow for 3-4 days to harden. Bird cherry - a plant that does not require daily care, the soil - slightly acidic, neutral in composition of loamy loam or any other soil.
(pH 6,0-7,5)
The tree should be transplanted every two years during the spring season. When transplanted into a new pot, it should be kept covered and watered regularly until it is fully acclimated in the new container. Increase watering during excessively hot and dry periods, but avoid overwatering, which can cause root rot and tree death.
