Opposite leaf Fig (Ficus hispida) is a fast growing and ornamental plant. It is interesting as an exotic greenhouse plant.

Seeds do not need to soak. Sow on the surface of the substrate, then lightly sprinkle, cover with film and put in a warm, bright place. The temperature of germination +25-32 ºC, in winter time use lower heating.
Every 3-4 days it is necessary to air the seeds. The first shoots appear from 10 days to 2 months. Sprouts grow slowly. Transplant young plants should not be earlier than 2.5-3 months.
Fig prefers bright diffused light, heat not below +12ºC. From March to September you need abundant watering, spraying and showering. Then the plant needs a resting period, during which watering and temperature are sharply reduced.
