White maple bonsai seeds, Ref. 5701

White maple (Acer pseudoplatanus) seeds could be an interesting project to grow bonsai.

Seed preparation:
Seeds are often called “helicopters” because of their distinctive shape. They should be mature and well dried before planting. Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours before seeding.
Container:
Deep containers or pots with good drainage are needed. The soil mixture should be light and fertile.
Seed planting:
Place the seeds in the container, covering them with a layer of soil about 1 cm thick and then water them.
Seedling care:
The soil should always be moist, but not overwatered. The seedlings need bright light, so the containers are placed in a well-lighted place.
Repotting:
When the seedlings grow to a height of about 15-20 cm repot them into larger pots.
Care of young plants:
Keep the soil moist, remove weeds and give the seedlings enough space to grow. Fertilize regularly.
