Description:
Basenji is one of the oldest dog species in the world. They were given to the pharaohs, the basenji hunted large savannahs, even lions. They are similar to miniature gazelles, because they are quite playful, graceful and very athletic. Bassenji are known as African hunting dogs because their temperament is beyond borders. As a hunting breed it is very emotional and durable. The character of dogs can be compared to a cat: they are curious, independent, reserved, a little stubborn. It is not quite right to say that these dogs do not bark, because their language is in another unusual format and level and can be very loud and versatile: muttering, moaning, snoring and very rarely barking.
