Cesis Castle Park 4328M

Cesis Castle Park is the most beautiful park and the very popular recreation place both in summer and winter. Local residents and guests of the city have the opportunity to watch white swans and feed the ducks. Walnut Hill, the ruins of an existing castle and ponds create a romantic atmosphere.
The park is located below the New Castle Square; from the side of the square, a stone staircase leads to the park, which is decorated with themed children's figurines. In summer, a summer cafe is open at the souvenir kiosk, and various cultural events are held on the large stage. In the center of the pond in 1961 was created a sculpture by sculptor Andrejs Jansons "Fisherman with a catfish".
