The bell tower of the Trinity Church is the most popular tourist attraction in Jelgava. The church was built in the 16th century and it was the first Lutheran stone church in Europe and the largest church in Zemgale. During wartime it was destroyed. In 2010, after reconstruction, the bell tower of the Trinity Church was completely restored.
The new nine-level tower houses with modern interactive historical exhibitions. On the ground floor can see an exhibition of paintings, and from the observation deck at a height of 37 meters, possible admire the beauty of the city. The four-sided tower clock is combined with a bell melody system to hear the hourly chime of the clock and certain melodies according to a specially designed program.
