Jelgava Regatta 4102M

Jelgava's traditional annual Milk Package Boat Regatta, in the Latvian Milk, Bread and Honey Festival, attracts huge interest. With boats and floats from empty milk packs, the speed and wit race takes place in the waters of Driks on the last Sunday of August. Participants in one of the most attractive events in Jelgava and the only one in Europe compete for the title of the most original and amusing boat. The main building material - 42,000 milk packages for teams - is provided by AS "Tukuma Piens".
