The Austras tree or Sun tree symbolizes the path of the sun.

The foliage of the tree was associated with the heavenly world. The leaves of the tree were of silver, the roots of copper and the branches of gold. Usually identified with oak. The Austras tree is mentioned in Latvian folklore and is also found in Latvian folk ornaments and embroidery. The Austras tree is a symbol of the rhythm of a sunny day, it image the world and shows its connection with spirituality.
