Mountain pine soil, Ref.2905
Description:
Soil for mountain pine bonsai
Well-drained, coarse, and mostly inorganic soil is best suited for mountain pine bonsai. Mountain pines naturally grow on rocky, mineral-rich, well-aerated soils, so you should aim to create this kind of environment in the pot.
Soil mix:
- 40% pumice;
- 40% lava;
- 20% akadama.
Soil requirements for mountain pine:
Very good drainage (top priority).
Minimal organic matter.
Coarse particle size: 3–6 mm.
Neutral or slightly acidic pH 6-7.
The soil should dry out partially between waterings.
Mountain pines are drought-resistant and suffer more from overwatering than from lack of moisture.
Water generously, then allow the soil to dry out almost completely before watering again.
Standard packaging: 500 ml
When buying 2 or more packs, the price for each is 2.20 €
