Soil for Dracaena bonsai, Ref.2902
Description:
Soil for Dracaena bonsai
When growing Dracaena bonsai, it is very important to choose the right soil, as these plants need good drainage and moderate moisture. Given that bonsai pots are shallow, soil structure is very important.
Requirements:
The soil must be well-drained to avoid overwatering, which leads to root rot.
Provide aeration - roots need oxygen; porous, coarse-grained soil helps with this.
Retain a small amount of moisture - dracaena likes soil that is slightly moist but not waterlogged.
Have a slightly acidic or almost neutral pH of 5-6.5.
Be stable and not too dense - a mixture of inorganic and organic components helps to maintain the structure for a long time.
The most suitable mixture:
- 50% akadama;
- 30% pumice or kiryuzuna;
- 20% lava.
It is recommended to add organic components (no more than 10%) - compost, peat, and biohumus.
Standard packaging: 500 ml
When buying 2 or more packs, the price for each is 2.20 €
