Description:

The first horse tram line was opened in Riga in 1882 and consisted of about 100 horses. The movement of the electric tram began in 1901 (the year of the 700th anniversary of Riga). Tram traffic is developing rapidly at the same time as large factories and plants. There have been attempts to use pneumatic, steam, and gasoline trams.
The layout of the first electric tram was completely rebuilt in 1982 according to old drawings and photographs. The tram has 18 seats and 10 parking spaces.
On the retro tram, you can see the center of Riga, the Latvian National Theater, the Latvian National Opera and Ballet Theater, the Daile Theater, the Vidzeme Market and other objects.
From time to time and on holidays, you can come across this unusual tram, in which play music Latvian musicians and orchestras.
