Description:

The automatic plant watering cord is an innovative solution for simplifying plant care, especially during vacations. This capillary wick system effectively delivers water from the reservoir to the plant roots, ensuring constant moisture without overwatering or underwatering. Moisturizing with a durable polyester fiber cord is an economical and effective alternative to traditional watering methods.

Cord diameter: 5 mm
Length: 1 m

Automatic watering: uses the capillary effect to automatically deliver water to plants.
Economy and efficiency: an economical and reliable alternative to complex
watering systems.
Customizable and controllable: suitable for various water reservoirs
and allows you to control the volume and timing of drip irrigation.
Precise watering: delivers water directly to the roots, minimizing waste and contamination.
Durable material: made of polyester blended fiber, designed for long-term use without rotting or decomposing.
Reusable and washable: can be cleaned and reused for various configurations.

Organizing automatic watering.
To ensure optimal performance, follow these steps:
- Prepare the wick: before use, completely immerse the wick in water for 15 minutes. This will ensure that the wick is completely saturated with water and ready for capillary action.
Setting up operation:
- Choose a water reservoir: any transparent container for water (e.g., a large bottle or jar). The size of the reservoir will determine the duration of automatic watering.
- Install the wick: place one end of the soaked wick in the water reservoir, making sure it reaches the bottom to absorb the maximum amount of water.
- Insert into the plant pot: insert the other end of the wick into the plant pot, burying it slightly in the soil near the plant's roots. Make sure it is in good contact with the soil.
- Adjust the height: the height difference between the water reservoir and the plant pot is crucial for regulating the water flow.
- For faster watering, place the water reservoir above the plant pot.
- For slower watering, place the water reservoir at the same level as the plant pot or slightly below.

Operating instructions
Once set up, the wick cord operates automatically, but can be adjusted
Water level control
Check the water level in the reservoir regularly. Add water as needed to ensure continuous watering.
Flow rate adjustment
- To slow down the flow
Increase the length of the wick or place the water reservoir closer to or slightly below the level of the plant pot. You can also try tying a few knots in the wick (above the water level) to slightly restrict the flow.
- To increase the flow rate
Shorten the wick or place the water reservoir significantly higher than the plant pot.
Nutrient supply
If desired, you can add liquid plant nutrients to the water reservoir for continuous feeding.

Important!
If the pot is higher than the reservoir, keep in mind that the ability to supply water upward is limited to 18 cm (the distance between the water surface in the reservoir and the bottom of the pot).

When using the automatic watering system, it must be protected from any physical impact:
- pets;
- children;
- birds;
- drafts;
- rain.
If the wick or water containers aren't set up right, water could leak onto the floor, which isn't good.

Use dishes and stands with a wide base to prevent them from moving if accidentally touched.

After assembling the system, secure (or hang) the weight without pressing down on the wick at the edge of the jar so that it does not slip out.

Do a few test auto-waterings, timing how long it takes and measuring how much water is pumped for each plant. Things like the sun, temperature, and humidity can affect the results.

Maintenance
The wick cord is designed for durability and reusability:
Cleaning: The wick cord is washable. If it becomes dirty or clogged with soil over time, gently rinse it under running water.
Storage: When not in use, clean the wick and allow it to dry completely before storing it in a cool, dry place.
Durability: The wick is made of polyester fiber, which is resistant to rot and decay, ensuring its longevity.
